My Score Card

During my time on the GRPS Board, I’ve fought to ensure our district is accountable, inclusive, and focused on student success. This scorecard shares the key initiatives I’ve championed, the policies I’ve supported, and the impact I’ve made to strengthen our schools and support our scholars.

Actions:

  • Worked collaboratively to advance community voice and equity in the Facilities Master Plan.
  • Contributed to facility decisions that prioritize student needs, neighborhood priorities, and equitable access across the district.
  • Advocated alongside fellow board members for student-centered budgets and financial reports that educate the community and are easy to understand.
  • Helped guide the superintendent evaluation toward evidence-based outcomes that address problems of practice, initiatives, and measurable results.
  • Supported and helped drive the creation of a board newsletter to increase transparency, clarify board work, and connect the community to meaningful updates.
  • Pushed for greater transparency and engagement between the board and the GRPS negotiation team, resulting in more meetings, deeper conversation, and clearer board direction.
  • Voted with the board and worked with district leadership to establish Global ENDS — measurable district outcomes focused on Academic Achievement, Graduation and Advancement, and Personal Responsibility and Belonging.
  • Maintained an active presence at GRPS events to support and uplift our scholars and school communities.
  • Voted for resolutions supporting safe gun storage and immigration policy, and served on ad hoc committees to help ensure policies support our migrant population.
  • Led or served on the following committees: Finance, Academic Achievement, and Ad Hoc Facilities.
